Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum institutional records.

The Adler Planetarium Institutional Records serve as the planetariums permanent memory. The collection consists of unique primary records of enduring value that were created or received by the Adler Planetarium and have relevance to the historical development of the Planetarium and its functions over time. Such records include (but are not limited to): legal records, financial reports, administrative documents, meeting minutes, policies, procedures, publications, press releases, correspondence, architectural plans, memorabilia, photographs, research notes, and papers of integral persons. Founders, officers, consultants, committee members and employees created the bulk of this documentation. The institutions organizational structure has grown and evolved over the life of the museum. The series in this collection represent a functional melding of these transformations.
